The special CBI court that recently acquitted 22 accused in the alleged fake encounter of Sohrabuddin Shaikh has said that the chief investigating officer’s statement that there was no specific evidence to show that the accused were monetary and political beneficiaries in the conspiracy to kill the victim was one of the circumstances that favoured the accused.
