Punjab recorded an extensive dip in voter turnout from 76.8% in 2017 to 63.44% till 5pm on Sunday for the single-phase state assembly polls, while the third round of UP elections saw a marginal drop in polling at 60%, as opposed to 62.21% five years ago.
