Bulldozers were used on Friday to raze encroachments on properties owned by those accused in the communal riots in Khambhat that had left one person dead on Ram Navami. Based on directives of the Anand district collectorate, the local administration in the coastal town started removing bushes, thick vegetation and tin and wooden cabins in Sakarpura area, the locality where stone-pelting had started during the Ram Navami procession.
