The Centre informed the Supreme Court that India had a very low incidence of Adverse Events Following Immunisation (AEFI) cases of Thrombosis and Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (TTS) during administration of 220 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccines. It said till September 30 this year India has administered 219.9 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine. A total 26 AEFI cases of TTS were reported, of which 14 recovered and 12 died.

An 11-year-old girl was killed and her two siblings were injured on the outskirts of Jammu city after they reportedly jumped from a railway bridge when they saw a train approaching. Police said that the tragedy occured when the three siblings, namely Alia Fatima (6), Hadia Fatima (11) and their brother Mohiuddin (12), residents of Bajaltalocality in Jammu, were on their way to school.

Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday busted a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) module by arresting two terrorists and their two associates, including a woman, in Hajin area of Bandipora district. A police spokesperson said a huge cache of arms and ammunition and materials for preparing IEDs were recovered from the terrorists, identified as Musaib Mir alias Moya of Rakh Hajin and Arafat Farooq Wagey alias Dr Adil of Gulshnabad Hajin.
General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (Northern Command) Lieutenant General Upendera Dwivedi estimated the number at 300 and offered a break-up. “There are 82 foreign and 53 local terrorists active in J&K. What is worrisome is there are almost 170 unidentified terrorists,” Dwivedi said at a presser in Poonch. Sources said the total number of terrorists was at least double the current level of 300 before 2019.

The Union government on Thursday moved the Supreme Court, requesting it to review and recall its November 11 order directing release of six Rajiv Gandhi assassination case convicts by granting remission of sentence. It said that the court had erred by enlarging foreign terrorists convicted for assassination of a former PM without hearing the Centre.
