J&K Police announces reward up to Rs 12L to curb ‘anti-national activities’

In an attempt to curb ‘anti-national activities’ in the Union Territory, the J&K Police has announced cash reward of up to Rs 12.50 lakh for people who provide information and intelligence on trans-border tunnels, drones, narcotics, terror activities and terrorists. The cash reward for providing information about trans-border tunnels used by anti-national elements is Rs 5 lakh, according to the J&K Police. Further, the police announced Rs 3 lakh reward for those who sight drones from the across the border and provide information about the same.

10 international airlines under DGGI scanner over tax evasion

Six states/ UTs (Bihar, National Capital Territory of Delhi, Kerala, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal) have not signed the MoU for the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) scheme, while Punjab has proposed to withdraw from the MoU. So far, 29 States/ UTs along with KVS/ NVS have signed the MoU. The PM SHRI scheme aims to showcase the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 and establish exemplar schools. Chhattisgarh: 72 newly-elected MLAs are crorepatis; BJP tops list

72 out of 90 MLAs in the newly-elected Chhattisgarh legislative assembly are crorepati, four more than the previous Vidhan Sabha. The BJP has 43 crorepati MLAs, followed by Congress. BJP won 54 seats and Congress won 35. The average assets per winning candidate in this election is Rs 5.25 crore, compared to Rs 11.63 crore in 2018. BJP MLA Bhawan Bohra tops the crorepati club with assets worth Rs 33.86 crore.

Man dies as drunk friends push him out of car with seatbelt on

Two drunken friends pushed Sandeep Naqwal, a father of two, out of a speeding vehicle on the Bhopal-Gwalior highway. Unaware that he was entangled in the seatbelt, they drove on, dragging him along for 25km and killing him. Passing motorists reported the horror to the police, who intercepted the vehicle at a toll gate. The victim's body was ripped to the bone and his skull smashed. The arrested suspects, Sandeep's cousin and a friend, claimed they didn't know he was being dragged to his death.

Massive searches underway in Rajouri & Poonch; 3 suspects detained
